I'm sorry to hear about that. I thank you for going to Iraq for your country, and it really sucks what you had to come home to.
I have to disagree with you, however, on your theory about the outside party being punished. The man that slept with your wife didn't ruin your marriage, your WIFE did it. She's the one who should be punished.
On the plus side, pictures of you in the sandbox would probably make a judge sympathetic to your case and get you a better settlement than if you were a workaholic white-collar husband. Good luck to you!

Adultery bill would turn divorce into combat
Tennessee lawmakers acted wisely three years ago in passing the Parenting Plan, a program that eliminates some of the rancor in divorces. Legislation now before the General Assembly that attempts to punish adulterers would only compound the bitterness and misery that often surround divorce.
Sen. David Fowler, R-Signal Mountain, and Rep. Chris Clem, R-Lookout Mountain, say they're only looking out for women wronged by domestic violence or adultery. Their legislation would allow victims to collect more than half of the marital assets in a divorce if the victim showed evidence of adultery, abandonment or domestic violence.
The legislature should reject it. The bill would invite trumped up charges and would increase the pain in situations that are already wrenching. Moreover, it represents too heavy a hand of government in a personal and legal matter, stopping just shy of posting an ''A'' on the chest of those who break their marriage vows.
Of course, victims of domestic violence deserve all the protection they can get, including financial protection. But, well intentioned as its sponsors may be, the demands of the divorce bill could only exacerbate a violent situation while doing nothing to stop cheaters from marriage.
Hard as it is for some legislators to abide lawyers, this seems like an especially good time for them to listen to those with far greater experience in courtrooms and divorce settlements. Alan Ramsaur, executive director of the Tennessee Bar Association, voiced his organization's concern about the bill's seeming propensity to take a bad situation and make it worse.
Fowler spoke of changing attitudes by forcing adulterers to pay for their sins. That's work for a power higher than the Tennessee General Assembly.
There are areas where the legislature can help families in divorce; it did as much three years ago with a program that requires divorcing parents to work out child-related issues so that those issues don't worsen after the split.
But Tennessee lawmakers should stay far away from legislation that would tempt a spouse in a troubled marriage to hire a detective and start collecting evidence in order to get a bigger slice of the marital pie. From Prohibition to old adultery laws, government and legislating morality have never made good partners

Since you are in the military you know that, for you, adultery is illegal. However, she is a civilian and unless the state you reside in still has laws on the book banning it, you’re pretty much out of luck. However, in most cases a divorce lawyer will have a field day with her, especially if you can prove the child belongs to the other man and was conceived while married to you.

What is important is that its not your baby and not your problem any more. If you don't have any other children...your a free Man...she will suffer down the road. You just take care of yourself, because she wasn't meant for you no ways! You don't need that crap in your life. There is someone out there better that would never do that to you so go find her and dump this leech for the fish.

Adultery isn't punishable by potential of the state by using fact progressed countries adhere to the regulation interpreted by potential of solicitors and attorneys as deemed to be morally incorrect and for this reason a controversy of values and ethics. The regulation ought to no longer discriminate between persons and society as an entire. Marriage is an expert and binding contract between 2 companions who commit themselves (by potential of decision) to a existence that honours such an contract to one yet another. The observance of the Torah and its regulations have been given to the Jewish people (on my own) from sinie to maintain and to observe during all generations. The Torah grew to become into no longer given to the different u . s . and in addition to no u . s . different than Israel has an criminal duty to maintain the Torah. G-d has given decision and loose-will to do good and evil. If a individual isn't Jewish why ought to a individual be subject under Halakah (Jewish regulation). As a Jew, why ought to I be controlled by potential of Christian philosophy and Islamic doctrine. in accordance to Islam every person is born a Muslim and is going his separate way. In Islamic international places the inhabitants have chosen to maintain on with Islam and in spite of my faith or others its "a watch for a watch and a hand for a hand". The international places that shop on with Christianity have their very own recommendations approximately Love Hate relationships and Adultery is one among them. Jews shop on with Jewish regulation and the regulation of the land. different religions do their element. I agree that Adultery is incorrect and society desires to contemplate regulation reform and the key is community. i'm hoping no one examining it somewhat is indignant.

sometimes we don't know why things happen, there are no answars. but i do know that everything happens for a reason, and sometimes people's choices hurt us. but i do know that everyone is held accountable for what they do.be happy you found out her true character now, and know that theres another relationship waiting for u as soon as u heal the hurt heart.unfortunatly the law no longer cares who hurts who. she wouldn't have been there for you for the long haul anyway. when it happened to me i was devistated, just wanted the pain to go away, blamed myself, turned my depression inward toward myself, but in reality this had nothing to do with you, it had to do with her selfish wants, and her choices.what she did does not in any way define u as a person.when i had no where to turn, and did not know what to do, i was forced to turn to god. and you know he does help us in times of trouble, he is the only one who can help us.a wrong was done but one day you will meet and fall in love again. the best revenge is to do well in life, and hold your head up high, and go out of this marraige with your dignity. she is the one who lost out, and will be sorry later on.
