OK, here's a halloween-y type question!

What do you think happened to Ichabod Crane? Was he taken by the Horseman? Did Brom kill him? Did he fall of the horse when the saddle came off...and if so, had he been knocked unconscious by a the pumpkin? Did that kill him? Was his death an accident, part of a prank by the mischievous Brom, and something that went teribly wrong? Is Ichabod even dead at all, or do you think that he ran away from Tarrytown forever? Was the Horsemen real, or was it Brom? And if it was Brom, did he kill him or not?

Opinions about the ending of the story...? :) Please give your reasons for them, too!

I KNOW it's just a story. Don't you ever like to wonder about stories, though?

Read the story. It gives two possible fates for Ichabod Crane. One is reported by a local farmer who visited New York, that Ichabod had simply left town, and had a successful career in law and politics. The other is what the old wives told - that he had been "spirited
away by supernatural means".

1) On a scale from 1-10, how scary is it? (1 being mild) 5 2) Is its more, less, or equally creepy/scary as Sweeney Todd? neither was scary, tbh, but that's me - life scares me, not movies 3) Some people said it's more "disturbing" than scary. What makes it disturbing? the atmosphere, like always in Tim Burton's movies grey/foggy/disorienting, but reasonable and consistent - all you need to make a good film 4) Is it really graphic? no, about 6 out of 10 5) I heard there was a part with an iron maiden. Do they show someone getting tortured or is it just the iron maiden like standing there? don't remember this all in all, watch this movie, it's a good one :)))))

You know what I think? I think this was just a story. So, if you really want an answer, why don't you dig up Washington Irving and ask him?
