One possessed of right-mindedness discards both good and evil deeds; therefore, devote yourself to yoga. Yoga is skill in action.

O Arjuna, know that this equanimity of mind is the essence of Yoga, in which the mind becomes possessed of discernment. Compared to buddhiyoga, the path of action seems far inferior to it. But only if you perform action, you will attain to this yoga, culminating in the yogic state . Therefore, O Arjuna, keep your mind steady on this potent buddhiyoga by giving up desire for the fruit of actions. Those who pursued this yoga crossed over the worldly existence and went beyond the bondage of merit and demerit.

Can we say Complete Surrender to any Ideal is the best policy in Life to pursue contemplating THAT is the Ultimate thing in the World ?

Arjuna must have attenuated the klesas to hear this voice ... temporally free from the rajasic give and take of the manas ... still and discerning in the bhuddhi to discern this voice of guidance from Krishna ...
Yet when time resumes (for all such moments are where time is not)...the vidhana dissipates.. and the battlefield awaits ... the world of kharma resumes, and inaction is not a choice... the "detachment from the fruit of action" is well advised , and may be something Arjuna can hold...dharma will continue inertia in seeds that were sewn before ... but the hope for Arjuna is that they may resolve on the highest octaves possible ... he, in a sense, is a leavening in a bread ... if he accomplishes his tasks with consciousness, he contributes to the potential for buoyance to all consciousness...

Complete surrender is a much easier path, but the modern mind does not easily allow it, with logic having developed so much, due to scientific advancements making more demands from modern minds !
The other tougher way, but more practical, is to ensure consciously that no action leaves a 'residue' in our self. It it the residue that is the source of further re-action or the 'karma', that enslaves us further, and hinders the 'yoga' (Union with divine).
For this a person has to consciously 'view' self as a mere tool, and choose to do what is needed in the situation, rather than choosing something as good , bad etc. This way, the ego finds less reason to gloat for having done something 'good' or a guilt of being required to do something 'bad', and as a bonus, there is no expectation or 'looking' for rewards, since doing something needed by the situation, is itself very satisfying.

but how come a well timed counter straight right cross will beat any other strike to impact? How come a dominant hard throwing pitcher will make most hitters look silly? right is right, wrong is not right. According to Einstein's Relativity there are physical rules that can be scientifically proven as TRUE. I do not believe to any ideal except for the idea of making the right decision at the right time. And the ultimate thing in the world is love. My point is sometimes you should think about things and sometimes you should'nt. or paralysis by analysis

Dear Jayakrish: First, we must discard good and evil deeds for they are both judgements we make. Good is a judgement, as is evil. Let all things be new in the moment, seeing everyone for the first time each time you encounter each other. We are neither good nor bad, we are confused. Allow each to be what God Created in terms of our Reality, not what we SEE in this Illusion called "physical life."

We need to learn that we Need Do Nothing. We are Created to BE - not to DO. Doing nothing is a state of peacefulness in which all is surrendered to the Holy Spirit's care and attendance. He will direct, instruct and Guide.

You can never "get" merit from good deeds or any actions you take. Your value was established by God. Your worth was established by God at your Creation. Nothing you do can add or subtract from it.

Complete Surrender to your Creator is the best policy in Life to pursue. Release your OWN ideals and accept those of the Holy Spirit within you. Contemplate HIS ideals. Not your selected ones.

Strange how alike all spiritual thought is: very minor differences.

Once you use the term yoga... it means addition. Remember when ever you add the numbers, once added loose their significance and are merged in the whole or perfect surrender. It be the yoga of shiva and shakti or otherwise, viewed wisely, it is all the same...... The great union.
