There is a program called Power Translator Pro. It will work by itself or with WORD. You tell it which direction to translate, like English to Portuguese or Spanish to French. Then you tell it which word, phrase or whole thing to start translating. It goes through and does a decent translation.
I have used it for proposals for French-speaking African countries and the reviewers there were very comfortable with the results. I used it to make sure that people I deal with who don't speak English can definitely understand what I need done.
Its only problem is that if you give it a very idiomatic expression in one language and then translate it to something in a second language then translate back it may look strange. I think any program will have that problem.
