reach around in the back and wiggle the plug to make sure it is all the way in. if this doesn't help clean the plug with a cotton swab with a little alcohol on it. do not put the alcohol directly on the plug.
if that doesn't help wiggle the cord and see if you board lights come on and off.
you probably need to get a new one. they are cheap

Send it to my Master. He Will Use His Vast Knowledge of the Internet and its Accessories to Fix it.
Or, You could Buy a New One
Or, Try Re-Installing the one you have
Unplugging/ Jiggling the Cord Might Help To
Something Else You Want To Try, Mabey You Accidentally Made it Unresponsive On The Computer. Go To My Computer. Go To Programs/Accessories, And Click On the Keyboard icon. See If You Can Switch It Back On. You Do Not Relize You Do It. It Just Happens Somtimes.

may be the keyboard driver lost. (I made for XP) Go to Control Panel > System > Hardwards > Device Manager > Try scan for pluged in device change, if nothing show error, go to Keyboard > Right click and Propertise > Upgrade > Then find from the list enough > If the device file shown, select it and Next > if all done, see your keyboard work or not, if not, reboot > if after reboot still cannot, then the is other problem already. Hope it helps.

Before you ask anyone to help you, check to see if its properly plugged in. Remember what you did last and see if it changed any system settings. If the keyboard just doesn't work anymore... buy a new one?

if reinstalling it does not work, it may have been because someone disconnected it from the actual computer. if you are using one of the old school mouses with the green end connection, you or someone else may have bended one of the tiny pins which will make it impossible to work unless you get a new jack or plug a mouse in through USB. This happened to me and i used USB, it does suck because I have one less USB slot.

Have you tried to plug unplug your keyboard? or swap the plug of your mouse. it might be a hardware problem. Whether your keyboard or board failure. If you suspect a virus, try safe mode if it will work, then its a os problem.

Best advice ---------> Buy a new keyboard. They come really cheap. Or you could try asking any of your friends if they have any spare keyboards.
