If you have an erection that simply won't go away sometimes taking a cold shower will solve the problem. It doesn't have anything to do with shrinkage but is due to dilation of the blood vessels entering the penis. Sometimes for this reason if you are sexually excited and your gf doesn't want to play right now she might suggest that you take a cold shower. The phrase has even entered our daily jargon to simply mean calm down even if sex is not involved.

In youth and thru mid 20s', people use that term to cool of the male hormones, when they are turned on and circumstances prevent him from having sex...I think it has been said by every parent since the beginning of time. Does it work? Never tried it, do not like cold showers!!!

just doesn't feel good unless you are really hot but still, that doesn't last long usually. now it doesn't bother me, then again, i work in a freezer 9-10 hours a day. anyways, hot showers are more relaxing for you and your muscles while the cold would kind of tense your muscles up

I think you both seriously like each other. It's just you two are too smitten to admit it. Why not try asking her about it when she is at your house. You two sound like you would be cute together :) Just because you two tease and are 'mean' to each other doesn't mean there isn't underlying love :P You just express it differently. some people (like me) do not like the cold. no big deal, I could do it if I had to, but I don't.....so why do something I do not like?

what a superstition!!!!dumbo!its not true at alll!!!cold shower helps you calm down specially during very hot summers!!!! or it just wakes up your senses!!!cold showers closes your pores to prevent dirt entering our pores! specially your face!to prevent infections and complications!!! while hotshowers opens pores !!!!use hot to open pores and clean it and seal it with cold,during facial washes...

the cold shower is a myth. if you are "hot" take a hot shower to cool down
