I believe in that old saying your as young as you feel. You should encourage them to keep doing it, so long as they stay out of trouble right?? I mean that is one less kid you have to worry about TPing or Egging your house! =D GOOD LUCK! Hope I helped.

I don't care how old kids/people are, as long as they took the time to dress up for halloween. I had some kids stop by that I thought were the parents, after looking around and not finding little kids I realized they were the trick or treaters. I wouldn't have given them candy, but I don't want my house egged.

In my opinion no one over the age of 12/13 should be Trick-or-Treating. That's why I gave out peppermints to the older kids.

Ive talked to alot of people about this and there saying 12 or 13 should be the cut off point. Ive seen them taller than me, thats a shock to open the door and look up, lol. I give them candy because im scared not too! lol.

I stopped trick or treating when I turned 18 that year, the thing is though, I am short, and I don't look my age, I look a lot younger so people believe I was younger than 18.

When you start getting dirty looks from people when they open the door, it's time to stop.
Seriously, I say 12-13, which is around the time boys hit puberty.
It's funny hearing people say 18. I don't know, there's something just not right about sexually active people trick or treating...

It should be what ever age you happen to be when your metabolism slows down. For the lucky people, it's when they reach 30+, but many people, including myself, are pretty young and still need to eat in moderation to prevent weight gain.
But personally, I think the cut off age is 17. Grown adults (who aren't chaperoning children) going door-to-door, saying "trick or treat", just isn't a sign of maturity.

never too old to go trick or treating. i think its fun to be able and dress up and still be a kid. sometimes the older kids have more spirit and go all out so it's cool
