Dude, look, I'm thirteen and I still have to go with an adult. This year I went with my older sister who is 20 and I just got back about an hour ago. Don't be embarrassed! Be happy of who you are and be happy that you even get to go trick-or-treating! The people down the street from me don't get to go because they believe it is Satan's day. If people think that you aren't cool because you aren't following your parents rules, then tell them that they aren't cool. Are you happy the way you are? If you are, then why do you want to be cool? I think it is dumb when people do that. If my sister hadn't come with me tonight, I would have been literally dead right now. This one guy was waving for me and my neighbor to come his house, and I said, "Come on! He probably has a lot of candy!" Well, let's just say I was very lucky that I had people with me. Please just listen to me, I know you hear this A LOT, but be happy with your childhood. Make the best of it!

A lot of parents don't really give a rip what their kids are doing - unless it inconveniences them personally. Look around you - it may seem all fun now, but the fact of the matter is those parents simply don't want to be bothered with their kids or with being a parent.

Your mom does.

It may make you crazy now, but she cares about you, your well-being, and you being safe. Someday I hope that makes sense to you, even though it probably doesn't now.

It's your mom's choice to go with her; it has nothing to do with the other kids. Just be glad that she's willing to spend the night with you and that she cares enough about you to come along and make sure you don't get hurt/etc.

I really don't see the big deal. If it really matters to you THAT much, then just talk to her and see if you can negociate a compromise for next year.

I know it sucks from your point of view....BUT...just cause every one else can doesn't mean it's right, or safe for that matter. You should be thankful ( yeah, I know you're not ) ;o) that your parents care about what you do! It sucks to hear the old saying "One day you'll understand", but as much as I hat to say it..."One day you'll understand"! Enjoy the candy...it all still tastes the same.

There is so many weird people out her, she is just worried about your safety; see what a cool mom you have. One day you will understand why she did this but like any adolescent right now this sucks! I hope you enjoy your Halloween.

Just make her hang back a bit... A mother is a mother.. Once her mind is set nothing will change it, she has her reasons.. Have you asked her? I personally wont let my son go by himself when he gets that age... Whether or not you realize it there are awful awful people out there.. Read the paper, see the stories...It's scary! Be careful!

You wont understand now, but when you're older and not working at McDonald's or dealing drugs for a living you will be thankful your mom cared enough about you to know where you were and what you were doing.

If that is your moms rule then you need to respect it...you are 11 a child..still have a lot to learn, maybe your mom thinks you are too inmature to go on your own yet, ask her.

It might not be fair but your mother is concerned for your safety. The other kids parents should be concerned because this is the day children get snacked, etc.
