We got a new phone over the weekend. I plugged it in, but the sound on it was very poor and static when I tried to talk to people. This was fixed by unplugging our DSL cable. Obviously we werent going to unplug our DSL cable everytime we wanted to make a phone call. So I hooked up the old phone again. Now everytime someone calls, our wireless internet quits working for several minutes. What should I do? How can I fix this?

Make sure you have your DSL line filter installed.

I believe you have bought a chordless phone.
Then definitely its an issue of interference between signals. For Static on the Phone you definitely need to check for DSL Line Filter and be sure that connections are proper as per indication for phone and DSL. Also if you have Wireless Netwrk then try changin Wireless Channels on the Router and that will help.
