Instead of trying to acquire more from an individualistic point of view?

I wish I could give you a Gold Star for that question because you already answered it and yet its a wonderful concept and that is the way we should act and react as a team. Many fail to see the way you have described is the only way to success, helping each other. For how lonely all these Individualistic minded people are along the way and whether they reach the top or bottom, inbetween what does it matter in the big picture. We all should be helping each other. Give a little, get a little, that is how life works smoothly, with the gratification for many, not just for the few or the one. One is a lonely number and they seem to flock with the other ones and form a clique, generally eminating the feeling of detached, arogant, and definitely unwanted. Like a ghost ship floating around haunting the oceans of people until they all join and then they are a majority with a mission to be selfish. But the reverse could happen if we joined others that believe in helping each other and then maybe it will be like a virus and everyone will catch it and we will be a team that wins.

Do unto others,Karma. It would be a kinder gentler world if we all helped each other get through it. Instead we butt heads and want more for me. I figure I must have been bad before my Karma sucks but I figure if I'm more helpful in this one the next one won't be so bad. Is it who has the most wins? I think not.

Depending on your culture, you might not think your journey is temporary. Or, you might have the attitude of "you can't take it with you" or "you only live once" so you don't really see the value of becoming spiritually aware, you might just want the latest Gameboy.

It makes ones journey much more interesting and makes the "journeyers" happy!
