...you are the leader of a cult and convince everyone in your cult to kill themselves but at the last minute you back out b/c you just decide that you want to live instead of die. I mean, they're the ones who killed themselves. They didn't have to do it if they didn't want to. So, would it be considered murder from a legal standpoint? Or would this another long debate like Roe v. Wade was?

There are various degrees of murder and manslaughter.

yes this would fall under murder. In some states there are even specific laws on packs like this.

It would be considered murder. Members of cults are brainwashed into believing the leader. They are conditioned to behave, respond, and act in certain ways. You as a cult leader would be held criminally and civil liable.

Yes it would be murder because you did not call the police (911) immediately and make every attempt to stop them and instead encouraged them to do it. Accomplice to suicide can be a murder charge remember Dr. Kevorkian.

Since you were the one to monipulate them you would be responsible. The if they don't want to arguement is thrown out the window when you consider how cults think

yes it will. and you will go to jail for it. and depends where you leave and on the judge you can be sentenced to death. which if you convince people to kill themselves cult or not cult you don't deserve to leave

no they killed them self's their bad you just chickened out why should you be held responsible for something they did even though you instigated it by the way i do not want to be in your cult i value my life way to much but thanks

If not murder, I think it would be aiding and abetting murders.
It could and should result in convictions for each death.

yes b.c even if they decided to do it, and u backed out, and u didnt do anything, like call 9.11 or anything then you would be held responsible... i saw it on CSI once
