Is it while your baby is sleep? because my friend's baby does the same thing.

Never heard of it, I had a lot of little siblings and none of them grunted as babies. I have dogs that grunt. Perhaps it's burping? Or just a little noise. But babies go to the doctors a lot anyways so it wouldn't be too inconvenient to ask one when you get a chance.

I think it's pretty normal...or else a lot of people have kids with problems and don't know it.

My son didn't grunt all the time, but he would occasionally. I think it's just their way of figuring out how to make sounds

It could be nothing, speak to your pediatrician. When you call her or him please make sure you can tell them when your baby does it. (while sleeping, after eating, during bathtime)

It could just mean your baby is interested in the sound he or she can make. If your pediatrician says it is nothing try making cooing sounds back and see if he or she tries to repeate it.
