i installed windows xp on my hard drive, i had to re-install it 4 times, and everytime i reboot my computer it asks me which windows xp to boot ...the other three have been deleted but they still show up, is there away to delete the other three?

Click on "My computer."
Select "Properties"
Click the "Advanced" tab.
Select the "Startup and Recovery" settings button.
At the top is the boot settings.
Uncheck the box for "List time to display..."
That should eliminate the startup display.

it;s cause u installed windows xp over a previous version of windows xp when u needed to delete and reformat ur hard drive...(keep in mind that you will need the drivers for all ur hardware) so make sure u downlaod and save ur ethernet/modem drivers so u can install them and connect to tehinternet in case windows does automatically recognizes them.

right click on "my computer"and press"R"key on keyboard,you will see the system info,choice the "advance" and press"T",you can see system boot info.Then click the "edit",you can edit the boot info.BTW,if you re-install windows next time,format the driver c first.

format your partitions on your hard drive, if that don't help, have the hard drive completley wiped and start over.
