I am in a new relationship with a guy, we both work full time plus have 1 kid each, but I never see him, he works way too many hours because he goofs off at work instead of working like he should. He makes twice as much money as me but I end up paying for everything, and taking care of both kids most time. I have asked for a little more family time, but no way. Between work, and his college (he is 39 BTW) and kids, we never see each other. Am I stupid or crazy? I want a real relationship! He says he loves kids but wants nothing to do with them except to yell at them

Drop him! Why in the world would you put up with that? He's a dead beat for sure and too cheap.

Your relationship is still new and he's already treating you like that?Well, at least he doesn't pretend to be good at first then gradually change, I'll grant him that!
He sound like a very irresponsible guy and seems like he hooked up with you to have someone to take care of his kid.And you are seeing him with rose-tinted glasses if you're not able to see how he really is when you are the one describing him to us.Or maybe a bit desperate for a relationship that's why you settle for him?
Don't be afraid to go out there even though you already have a kid.You deserve someon better than the one you're with and you are going to find someone better once you dump that loser.

First of all tell me where he works because I'd love having a job I can goof off at and get paid OT to make up for my goofing off time ;o) Maybe your not making yourself clear enough for him. Take a megaphone ;o) and say "look here buddy, I love you but I'm getting sick and tired of paying for everything, watching the kids all the time, and having no time for just the two of us. So make the time ;o)" Good luck to you.

Yeah that's not how it's supposed to be, sorry you probably didn't want to do hear that. He may well be busy, but he needs to at least work through the issues with you if he really cares.

All I can see is you moving on. Shame about the kids though huh?

Yes you are crazy, if he truelly loves you and the kids he would make the time. A person should always make the time for the important things in life.

In anything, especially a relationship, those things that you mentioned are "dash board lights". Just as in a car, they tell you that something is wrong and needs to be heeded. You are not crazy. You just need to realized that life is short, time is valuable, and so are you! Don't settle.

Sounds like he wants a free babysitter. He says 'no way' to more family time? He's just told you your not worth it. Leave him.

You are being used for this guy's convenience. It's time to connect with someone more mature and someone more compatible with your needs and desires.
