No, your baby should not need iron supplements. The iron in breastmilk is better available to the baby in the iron in formula. He will get plenty of iron from your breastmilk. Just take your supplements and keep nursing.

the doctor should put you iron pills the baby gets whatever you have in your body so make sure you get to the doctor cause your baby needs that iron intake but, it depends how old your baby is in knowing if you can give an iron supplement to the baby.

NOOOOOOOO NEVER give a baby IRON!!!!!!!!!!
ok I just can not say that loud enough. too much iron can kill you and im not lying look it up. If you are low of iron just take a mulitivitamen and you will be fine. The baby will also be fine especially with breast feeding.

no, don't give your baby iron supplements, just make sure that when you eat foods with iron in them (beans, meats) that you eat Vitamin C (strawberries, oranges, cabbage) with it, vitamin C triples the absorption of iron in your body!! if you have any questiosn email me personally, I'm a current nursing student
