went 2 didn't prepare me 4 the IB program that I'm taking altho I know that if I work very hard I'm capable of doing it.When I 1st came 2 this school,it was very tough.I was behind in math & was doing junior level stuff. But at the time I wanted 2 learn & do my best.though I was barely getting any sleep & was extremely stressed, i still loved learning.part of y i was stressed is b/c i lack organization & time management skills (which i didn't really need in midl school).i still have this problem.i really do try 2 focus but i just can't.& what's added 2 this is that now,i just don't have that love 4 learning anymore & i just wanna quit & not think about school.i'm burned out.but again i want a good future. i feel like i need a break 2 figure my self out & solve some problems.so should i stay @ this skool, then apply 4 next year 2 a math & science boarding school(excellent, but no time except on week-ends)./go 2 my home high, then apply 2 it. ivy league 4 undergrad/grad skool? vry cnfusd.

Can you opt for the IB certificates instead of the IB diploma? I did that when I was in high school. I opted to focus on certain subjects and I still got credits for those in college. Bottom line, if it's affecting your health (body/mental), you need to slow down and try to go for a more flexible program that allows you to enjoy your life. These years will not come back - There's plenty of time to be stressed and worried. Now is not the time.

When a baby is born, it must go through various stages before becoming an adult. I MUST crawl before walking, walk before running. I really think that much of this advanced stuff is pushing people too far, too fast. I find that it is rooted in parents who want bragging rights--"MY kid did such and so". So sad. Just go at your own pace. Why Ivy league? A vast number of highly successful people went to non-Ivy colleges. What is the rush? Be a kid as long as you can (without becoming a bum). I have taught High School for over 30 years--you sound like you are heading for an early grave through ulcers, substance abuse or suicide, unless you put on the brakes and go at your own pace. I REALLY hope you take my advice!

i had a chance to go to that program. Instead I oped to go into the program that sends me to a. 2yr college for free. I spent my senior at a jr college and had enough credit to transfer to osu to finish my freshman year
see if they offer that program

You need a high grade point average and high grades in English and Math plus you have to test out in though two subjects.

It is worth the effort you save the price of 1 year of a university
