I can't even get into the battle with him, because before you actually fight him, you need to defeat the ruby dragons after each question that he asks you. The first ruby dragon is easy, but the second one is hard. I can't even fight Bahamut yet, because the last Ruby dragon always kills me. How do I defeat both the ruby dragon and Bahamut? Please help! Thanks.

the ruby dragon really is quite a difficult fight, almost a boss fight in itself.
it really helps if you are LOW level, so that the dragon will have lower hp. i think he was vulnerable to berserk, but it's been so long. if you can berserk him he'll hit harder, but he'll stop using magic.
you can use slow and/or stop spells on him - they won't work ALL the time, but they do work
perhaps you have the tonberry GF and the LEV-DOWN command?
when you get to bahamut, blind him and he'll be toast. blind ALWAYS works on him, and he only does physical attacks. so he'll miss every single time he attacks. beat him and you got a new GF to put among your favorites. he learns MUG and i think he gets "abilityX4"

I'd suggest getting relatively high lvls(so that you can atl east do 1000-4000 dmg per hit(at that point you can usually get off pretty easy even against a red dragon)) then get a few of good ultimate spells(like ultima,comet etc)
And be sure to have alot of potions/healing magic

And for bahamut i'd say have all of the above plus a couple of Aura's so you can use Squalls renzokuken + the other limit breaks(hope you've been upgrading to better weps)
Or if you are good at junctioning you could be a low lvl and still beat him
Its all about the strategy you use.

it is actually very easy,keep 2 charaacters near limit breaks like squall and zell,and the third character at full hp and ready to use curative magic,keep attacking with squall limit breaks,hopefully u have at this level the lion heart,since it can kill him with one or two limits,then if damaged use life or cura on the character,it should be an easy fight if u have ur status at a very high condition by stacking up strong magic.

Shiva and Leviathan are your ideal acquaintances against them. in case you have Lionheart (Squall's proper Weapon) it quite is beneficial to contemplate casting air of secret on him to apply his cut back wreck.
