Do you just answer or do you try to find something else to say?

Most of the time I do try and find either my take on it or expand on what someone else has said but sure there are times when the question was answered and there is nothing else I can add to it...like the lyrics of a song and who sang it...if someone gives that kind of answer then its like well there ya go!
Sometimes I wind up giving the same answer as someone else too because I either did not read all the answers or I could not see them but it is the same outcome either way.

No If I had the same thing in mind and I saw that someone else said it firs I just say I agree with them...But most of the time I don't even read the other answers until after I have given mine to avoid copying someones ideas and just give my own thoughts. If it's repeated it's repeated but the person asking the question now has more information and more votes towards an answer than he had when he asked the question.

I usually do give up answering a question where someone has a similar answer to mine, IF, I have read the answers. I don't always read the answers, especially if there are more than one page of answers.
Sometimes, even if I read the answers, and I can clarify or put a different perspective on an issue, I will still answer.

If I truly feel like reading everyone else's answers, I'll look through them, otherwise I just put my two cents in. Can't hurt too much to hear the same thing 500 times.
(Hope this hasn't been said yet. I don't feel like reading through all of the other answers.)

I usually give up if someone had the same thing to say before me. Unless I have details to add to the answer that they didn't give.

If i really like the question, i will answer it anyway no matter what the answers before mine are.
But if it is just a general question, sometimes i wont answer it if everyone else has the same answer

if someone already said the same exact thing i woulda said, i just give them a thumbs up and move on to the next question
