Yes, I think so. I recognize the harmful ramificatiions that some actions and statements can have on society and the world more readily than I did when I was younger. I tend to get angry, and to take action to counter things I find offensive, far more readily than I once would have.
I'm not more easily personally offended, far from it; my skin is much thicker now than it ever used to be, and I am much more discriminating about the amount of respect I accord to other's opinions.

It seems to be true for many people that the edges of their comfort zone become a little more clearly defined as they age, but I do not deliberately look to be offended. I think that is the telling detail. If you have a reasonably open mind, you will usually find yourself getting on the right side of things which are dropped in your lap. Some people need to have a lot of control because they do not really feel safe in life. That offended thing they do so often is a vain attempt to self-medicate by reclaiming control once again. They have control equated with safety, and nothing could be further from the truth. Safety is in knowing what is really going on, not always having to be in control of it.

You usually get less offended as you get older, because you tend to become more relaxed about life, and it does not matter what people say. The younger you are, you tend to feel that it is so important what other people say. Younger people have the inconvenience of peer pressure. Having said all of this, it is only a generalisation. It purely depends on how sensitive the person is. Some people tend to get offended more easily than others regardless of what age they are.
My policy is: 'The people that matter dont mind, and the people that mind dont matter! But I have to add that I was very sensitive as a teenager; but I have learned to grow out of it.

In some ways about some things. I'm more easily offended by poverty...not that I believe the poor person is responsible for that.
I'm more easily offended by abuse perpetrated by those who are stronger or older. As to something other people say..I pay less attention to that and make excuses for them.

I am offended that you had to ask
actually I found that as I got older it is hard to offend me. I guess time builds up a thicker shell then thinning it out.

as you age .......you understand yourself, you have worked on yourself and you are more apt to defend your views and decisions and you are more comfortable standing your ground.
You are not more offended as much as you are being strong with others who think they know it all. Every situation has many sides and the ones offering advice often see everything in black and white and do not consider that there is many more sides to the situation that cannot be seen. As I get older I am appalled at how many people thing your business is their own.

Not at all, I am pretty satisfied and accept myself more than I did when I was younger. Things are just not that big of a deal anymore. You got to calm down and pick and choose your fights sometime in life, instead of being a jerk forever. I like the saying that goes, God grant me the strength to change the things I can, accept what I cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference. It makes life alot easier.

Not at all, I'm 50 at Christmas and nothing offends me anymore, you just get a lot braver and stop giving a damn what others say or think about you.

Nope, Just the opposite, as you mature, you become less dependent on other persons opinions of you. You become more confident in yourself and thus, you are less likely to feel offended by someones comments.

I've found that I'm less easily offended.
Little things like insults and topics that once would have made me blush just arent that important anymore. I've got more important things to worry about than what someone else thinks.
