Did you do it because someone was watching and you did not want to create a bad impression? Did you do it because your religion tells you to? Did you do it because you were afraid of retaliation if you didn't.?

Some people interpret that verse incorrectly. It doesn't mean you are always letting people walk all over you, getting away with bad behavior. It is basically saying we should be more patient, forgiving and understanding.

I do it most of the time for different reasons, depends on the circumstances. If someone is really out of line, they will hear about it from me. Usually, I wonder if they are having a bad day, and may even ask that. It usually snaps people back to reality so they know they are behaving badly.

Depends on the situation. When people tried to mug or attack me, I avoided harming them partly because I had no desire to explain myself to the police, and no desire to risk going to jail.

No not because of religion, but often just because my inner sense said it was the appropriate thing to do.

its part of staying employed and being employable

Always. I have never been in a fight.

I would not want to hurt anyone physically.
