A fob is a chain used to secure a pocket watch to an article of clothing, or any ornament that hangs from such a chain. This includes items hanging off a keychain. The term is also used when referring to electronic security key devices (clickers for cars).

(incoterms) used by importers and exporters to correctly understand each other during the transaction.

FOB = Free on Board

This means that the importer (purchaser)will pay the exporter (seller) the cost of the merchandise, plus any other charge necessary until the merchandise is on board of the ship docked in the port of origin.

It can also be a babble attached to the end of a pocket watch chain- a watch fob. Way retro but hey, maybe it's what you were asking.

its the leather strap that is attached to a pocket watch, designed to easily locate the watch and see what time it is. the fob is supposed to hang out of the pocket of your pants. usually the front pocket.
