I was playing a game the other day, using the wireless remote. The game was running fine for about 10 minutes then the tv went staticy (like if cable were out) for about 30 seconds, then went to the regular program on the tv. I tried to restart, but it wont work. The gamecube is turning on, the disks are spinning, (i've tried several games) but it the tv is not switching to the games. I tried changing channels, unhooking and rehooking the wires, cleaning the games and the system itself. I cannot find the instruction manual, so I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks.

is the gamecube hooked up by A/V cables? (red/yellow cables) if so, check that they are hooked up properly.

in order for your AV cables to let your game work, your tv needs to be on channel AUX (auxillary), sometimes you can push channel (down) to get there.

let's just say that i'm playing my gamecube on AUX.

then someone accidently pushes (perhaps i'm sitting on the remote in a couch cushion) channel (up)

it will go static, because channel 3 doesn't do anything on my TV since i don't have an antenna hooked up.

then the channel goes up one more time to channel 4. while on channel four, i can see regular TV, because tha'ts the channel the cable is running to

Take your Gamecube to a local Gaming store like 'GameFrenzy' or 'GameCrazy'. Ask them to test your Gamecube for you. If your really nice they'll do this for free.

If this works, then you know it's not the Game system itself. Then try a different television, etc.
