I am looking for a job right now. I have been contacted by one company's HR about a week ago. They seem to be interested in my resume. But, I do not know what kind of person they are looking for. I have not heard from them yet.I would like to remind that I am interested in their company. What kind of approach could be appropriate for this case?

Definitely contact them! Call back the person that you spoke to and say just what you did here -- that you are interested in the position and would like to know what the next step would be in the hiring process. If you can't get through on the phone, send an email, or if that's not possible, a short letter. Just make sure your email is not informal -- write it more like a business letter and make sure spelling and capitalization are correct. Say something like:

Dear XXXXX,

It was a pleasure speaking to you recently about the opening for a XXXXX (job title) at XXXXX (the company name.) I'm very interested in the job and I believe my experience and qualifications are a good fit for the position. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further at your convenience.

I can be reached at (give your contact info and best times to call.) I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
XXXX

Keep calling and writing periodically (maybe once a week) for a while or until someone tells you the position has been filled or they're not interested.

Good luck!

You sit down and make a good presentation in a letter as to how thankful you are for having the opportunity to learn about the position(s) at the company. You also state that if selected you will strive hard to serve the company to the best of your ability.
Then sit down and try for another company. If youi get this one it is great.
DO NOT CALL.

If you haven't followed up with a thank you note or email with your appreciation for getting the interview, do so,and also take the time to indicate your enthusiasm for this this job and this company. Don't gush, just genuine enthusiasm.

Call them back and thank them for taking the time to interview you and ask them politely if they have come to a decision if they want to hire you because you don't want to come across sounding desperate good luck I hope you get the job
