Everyone is different but about 22 weeks seems to be the time period when you may start to feel movement. If you are worried, you can get a checkup.

If you heard the heartbeat just last week i think you're OK. Yes, most women do feel some movement between 16-20 weeks, but every pregnancy is different. I'd mention it to your doctor just to be safe. Have you had your level 2/anatomical ultrasound yet? That is usually done at 20 weeks and can tell a lot about the health of your baby.

Like everyone else said, every woman is different. You may actually be feeling her/him, but not realizing it or thinking that it's gas. If you don't start feeling the baby in the next couple of weeks, then call your doctor. They can check to reassure you that everything's okay. You might want to try laying down in a quiet location after you eat drink something (like Orange juice), and see if you can't feel a little flutter. For me, the movements weren't very strong or very often at first. Now I'm 27 weeks, and I feel her move all of the time, and it's very strong. Good luck to you!

Don't worry...you'll feel the baby soon. It takes longer for the first baby because you don't recognize what's happening. You may have even felt it by now. It wasn't until about 22 or 23 weeks that I recognized it, I think. For me, it just felt like gas!

Drink some juice that's high sugar and see if the baby moves around more after that.
