Love the Red Sox. There is no place to see a game quite like Fenway. But let's face it, hot stove is the slowest season. Each team has exclusive rights to their own free agents until 11/11, then there are the signings and the trades. Might as well sit back and watch the Patriots until the teams report for Spring training the week after the Super Bowl.

Sure, I like the Red Sox, they are one of MLB's best franchises, and surely, one of the most intriguing teams in all baseball lore.

Lemme tell you about the BoSox, man. One well-manned team, as of recently. Who can argue with Ortiz' power, numbers and reliability? Any one would be pressed to find a better catcher than Veritek. Same with Manny in Left. The acquisition of Mike Lowell last year solidifies the left side of the infield, what with Gonzo, sewing up Short. And I read where the Sox have signed Wakefield and Timlin up for '07, and they ONLY join Schilling, Beckett and Foulke in the rotation ??

PLEEEZEE....
Let's look only a second at the history of the franchise. If only they had never traded Babe Ruth, yeah, well, whatta going to do?
Superstars, Legends like Ted Williams, Tiant, my God, Luis Tiant ate Yankee hitters for breakfast!! Yaz, Fisk, even Johnny Damon. These players have a standing table for lunch in Cooperstown, dude!

We won't even begin to discuss the Green Monster, man. What other team has a 10th player like the Green Monster???

Trivia Time: Did you ever KNOW, that there have only been two players in all of Major League Baseball History, named "Barrett",
--EVER--
and these two guys both played Second Base, for the Boston Red Sox.

The very best World Series I ever witnessed in my time, was the 1975 Series against Cincinnati. I remember it even today.
And the worst World Series I ever witnessed in my time, was the 2004 Series against St. Louis. ((I am a Complete Cards fan, after all))...
But Who Could Not Finally Be Happy For the Sox That Year??

Isn't Baseball just the very best Game ever??
