Why is the space bar so big?

So you can press it with either thumb.

Because you use it the most often when you are typing so it needs to be the biggest because it is the most important.

Actually, Dragon was just noticing that she doesn't use her thumbs much at all when typing. Interesting.

So that a person can access it using either hand when they are typing in the "traditional" 2 handed style & it is not mistaken for any other key, because there isn't another one like it on your keyboard! Also used as a reference point when you are typing & a great place to rest your thumbs in between spaces! Many people have the ability to "palm" their space bar.

maybe they ran out of space on the keyboard then they used the space bar to take it up. or u kno how the board is "cut in half" for both hands? well, they might need to keep it on both hlaves so u can access it easily.

so that you can put a space inbetween words like "BE GOOD". And so that you can see it better and not have a problem not getting to it that much.or they ran out of space on the keyboard and put the rest of the spacebar to fill up the extra.
