Yes, you can be successful, but as far as being a TV host, you'll need a LOT of connections. If you wanted to work up to that slowly, you could try acting in or narrating independent films. But you need a lot of drive to break into the arts without having been to college, so stack up on your personal knowledge, and begin throwing yourself at agents. Get your picture and profile out there, include experience (or lack thereof), and most of all, hold your head high and keep at it. And good luck!

A college degree will get you in the door. Many of the women and men you see on tv majored in Communications or a related area. Anything is harder without a college degree, but, some people get beyond it.

I have a college degree with a double major. My husband went to college for 6 months. He makes 3 times what I do. It depends upon what your job desires are and what the field requires.
