I have a complicated story, so bear with me...
I started taking birth control about a month ago, I took the pill on a Sunday, which was also the day I started my period because thats the way I was suppose to start with the pill as many of you know. Well actually I only bleed for 3 hours, seriously. I have not bleed at all since then and now I am feeling like something is wrong. I am nausiated, and have felt like puking for about 3 days now. I am moody and my breast are very sore. I am very worried and dont know if I should go ahead and take a test, or if I should wait till I am done with my months supply of pills..Please help people...

You don't have to wait to take the test.
However, this could just be the way your body is reacting and getting used to the pill. The pill's hormones "trick" your body into thinking it is already pregnant, so you don't ovulate. So, some people get some minor symptoms of pregnancy - nausea, fuller breasts, etc.

Birth control pills are meant to trick your body into thinking that you are pregnant. So, the symptoms you are experiencing could be related to the pills themselves. However, if you have had unprotected sex it would probably be best if you took an at home pregnancy test. I wouldn't wait until all the pills are finished, because if you are pregnant the pills could harm the growing embryo/fetus. So, go ahead and take the at home test.

Sweetie,if you have had unprotected sexual intercourse, you could very well be pregnant. If there is any chance you could be pregnant, stop taking birth control immediately.Go and purchase a pregnancy test and make an appointment with your obgyn asap to confirm. If you continue to take the birth control, and you are pregnant you could cause damage to the baby which i am very sure you do not want.Just be safe, and stop them until you consult with your obgyn.I know, that it will mess up your cycle, but if you are pregnant,i believe you would rather not risk damaging your child. If they confirm you are not pregnant, then it is a go on the birth control.Good luck hun,and have a good evening.

You could be pregnant and the bleeding you had could have been implantation bleeding (much shorter than a period). But since you just started taking the pill, it could also be your body adjusting to it. Take the test definitely to know for sure.

it sould be your hormones freeking out, wait until you miss a period then if you do take a test, if you don't miss a period and still have problems then call your doctor. Your body might not get along with the pill. There are many other types of birth control so don't get frusterated. good luck.

You should take the test right away, and get tested by your doctor too. If you are, stop taking your pills. If you continue your pills then take a test, you may kill the baby if you're pregnant. The pill is pretty effective though.
