heres the question... contast a mythical explanation of a natural event in Greek/Roman culture to the mythical explanation of the same natural event in another culture?

ex. ra the sun god in egypt sailed his boat across the sky.
zues in greek times rode his chariot across the sky.
representing the sun. ( i cant use this one it was a given example)

How about Poseidon juxtaposed to Neptune. Wind, waves, tides and cataclysm on the high seas. See also: Aphrodite and Venus, Love and male/female interpersonal relationships.

Thor brings thunder and lightening along with the rain in Norse Mythology and the Thunder bird brings rain in certain Native American Stories.
