• A frog brings good luck to the house it enters.
• A spider spinning in the morning.
• Carry an acorn to bring luck & ensure a long life.
A dog eating grass brings rain.
• A dove circling above is an omen of death.
• Rats leaving a ship - the ship will sink.
• Empty pockets or empty cupboards on New Years Eve portend a year of poverty.
• Its bad luck to let a fire go out on New Year's Eve.
• If you hear foot steps behind you on this night, don't look back. It may be the dead following you. Turning back could mean that you will very soon join the dead behind you.
• To milk a cow being sent to market = bad luck.
• To see an owl in the sunlight = bad luck.
• Changing a horse's name= bad luck.
All these are really weird, from this site in my references, I don't know how people beleive this stuff!! CRAZY lol take care ~1~

Don't break a mirror or it is seven years bad luck
Don't walk under a ladder
Don't step on a crack
Don't spill salt if you do throw it over your left shoulder with your right hand.
Don't sweep out your front door (It's sweeping all the good luck out)
If while sweeping you run the broom over your foot you have to spit on the broom or it is bad luck.
Don't vacuum or sweep under someones feet or they will never get married.
My mom believes in every wives tail and superstition out there. And does her best to make me live by them. While I do my best to ignore them not believing in any of it.
