The recent law allowing Cell Phones on school property is SB 1253, Chapter 253
Senate Bill 1253 makes individual school districts responsible for developing policies regarding jurisdiction over cell phone use in schools. Most schools in CA require that they be turned off and kept out of site.

LOL ... cell phones are a priviledge, not a right. If the school says not to bring a cell phone into the building, then leave it at home or in your car. If the school says you can have a phone with you but it needs to be shut off, then shut it off.

My question to you is: If you are allowed to have them at school in Cal., but they have to be turned off anyway. Then why worry about if you can, or cannot have it in school???? It doesn't do you any good being off. Unless you are worried about someone stealing it from you. You are in school to learn, and not worry about phones. So, get with it, and study.

it wouldn't have been a problem if it were turned off and put away.. forget about the "law" and learn the appropriate they are= they're (turned off).
