Yes, this is an extremely freaky movie. I still cannot watch it to this day. I am talking about the old "Omen" from the seventies. I never saw the new one with Julia Stiles, but heard it is very scary. A note of trivia: If you happen to watch the old "Omen" movie you will see at the end when the boy who plays Damien turns around to face the camera and has an evil smile on his face and just like stares into the camera. They said that was not even planned, he just did it and it worked, so they left it.

Most movies on TV freak me out with all that dang Advertising. Heck, I was watching a movie once and by the time it came back on from the advertising, I had forgot what it was about. So, broke out the DVD's and watched a movie.
The Omen is about the Anti-Christ, which many believe is in the world now. He will be a well liked person. Probably good looking and generous. I enjoy looking over some of the Prophecies of the Bible and try to relate them with things I see happening. It is fun. One I like to ask people; In Revelation. Have you found the USA in it? Many ask where the USA is mentioned in the Bible. I believe it is in Revelation. Can you find it? ;-)

Hn, the revamping of The Omen wasn't bad but I still prefer the original. As for movies that scared me...not recently though watching The Exorcist usually will do the trick pretty nicely.

oooh, I screamed out loud a couple times in the theatre when I saw the Omen... yes, the new one. I hate sudden things like that.
I couldn't finish the Grudge or The Hills Have Eyes. Getting goosebumps just thinking about them!
I'm kind of a weenie, though :)

The only movie that ever managed to scare the s**t out of me was "The Exorcist" until I saw "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". I am Catholic and this whole concept leaves me terrified, especially as these are based on true events. Other horror genre movies do nothing for me because they're so unreal and the teenager-babysitter-nanny-as-innocent-sacrificial-lamb crap is just that.

I am going to watch it in about 5 minutes. I saw the original though, and the story doesn't seem realistic to me, so I wasn't freaked out. Did you review your bible? I wonder if it is consistent with its writings, or how much of it is Hollywood.

Finally I know someone else! As Christians that shouldn't be on our viewing list but I thought its was great. I just watched it last night with a lady friend of mine and she jumped four times. I guess its good that we have some consideration of God though.

Nah, but the original really creeped me out. Went into the theatre on a bright sunny afternoon, came out and the clouds were BLACK!
