people in charge of this catastrophe have no plan?
Stay the course, train the Iraqi military is all well and good but thats not really a plan its an idea.
Saying that its secret because the terrorists could see is just bs speak for there is no plan.

Training the indigenous population is just an old military tactic.

The US doesn't need a plan to get out of Iraq. It just wants a government that will be as good a trading partner as Saudi Arabia is about its oil supply.

Does the average American care about the middle east? (id est minus the Biblical armageddonists who believe Israel should be supported no matter what.) No. You just want to be able to drive to work. Your cars run on gasoline. Your shipping runs on gasoline. Your economy runs on gasoline. (And your food is grown with natural gas.)

If you don't secure the middle east oil, you're screwed. You don't want out of the middle east. You want the oil prices to be high enough so that Canadians can afford to get your their oil.

Who's your daddy, eh?

You're right, there is no plan.
Republicans aren't responding to democrats in finally (finally!) calling for a plan to get out, they're responding to the American people -- most polls show about 75% of them, democrats and republicans alike, want us out of Iraq as soon as possible.
Too bad W doesn't listen to the American people, but at least the republican congress finally started to, just before they lose their majority...

oh, and the guy that posted Bush saying he never said, "stay the course" -- apparently W has forgotten there's such a thing as video tape. There are at least 10 videos of him saying it (at different times) on the web...:) In other words, he lied. Again. And again. And again...

Why does everyone want a "plan"? We don't need a plan, we need an objective. Plans are made and plans change as needed to reach the objective, the goal, or whatever you need to call it. There can never be just one "plan".

Good question. I love how indigant republicans are over what Kerry said about Bush. Funny, i wonder if they got up in arms over this? I want one republican out there to tell this this isn't bashing the troops.

actually, many dems do have a plan... to set timetables... and work up plans with generals...

Bush has even been talking lately of doing the exact same things the dems have been pushing... so, apparently, dems had a good plan that Bush is looking at... hahahah

Your question contradicts itself.

BTW, Bush has said "stay the course" over and over. His recent comments just show that he is a stupid liar.
