To the best of my knowledge the Bentley brand was bought by Rolls Royce many years ago (best guess the '20s or '30s).
Much more recently both were sold in some very complicated deals BMW bought RR while VW bought Bentley. If memory serves there were lawsuits because two different companies thought they had bought Bentley only to be told one had bought all the manufacturing plants and equipment and the other the right to use the name Bentley.
Porsche owns 25.1% of VW according to wikipedia.

Up until 1998 Bentley was owned by Rolls Royce and they shared platforms and engines and such. In 1998 Volkswagen bought Bentley and in 2002 BMW bought Rolls Royce and they went their separate ways.

BMW bought Rolls Royce Automotive. Rolls Royce Aero-nautics is still an indepndant company.
And yes, Bentley was acquired by VW. weird, huh?
All English car companies are now owned by foreign companies. BMW owns Cooper too, you know, the new Mini Cooper.

first volkswagen is owned by Porshe, and do you really think a car company is going to come out with more than one top of the range car to compete against itself. I am a chick, and even I know this answer....NO!!! Rolls royce and bentley are NOT owned by the same company, and NO BMW does not own them, and nor does Porshe/Volkswagen.
If you want to pretend you know something about cars try walking around new car yards to begin to understand, and research research research, instead of coming on here and looking like a complete toss
