You only have three paras for the body, so don't be too ambitious. I'd stick to something about what the environment is and why it matters. A possible outline is below:
Start with an intro para that quotes a dictionary or something to define 'environment'. Note that there are many aspects: natural environment, built environment, social environment say.
Use the three paras of the body to explain each one and why it matters. "The natural environment is ..." (trees, plants, animals, air etc). Pollution is a major threat, but it is important to me because...
"The built environment comprises the houses, schools, roads etc in which we live. These are important for shelter and ...
The social environment is the types of people that are around us. At my school, this environment comprises/does not comprise different nationalities, religions, age groups, etc. Use a sentence to describe what is good or bad about this from your perspective.
Conclusion para can then summarise all of the above that there are many different aspects to our environment that influence who we are and how we live. All of these aspects are important.

Write about how environmental awareness is starting to become wide spread. Point out the visibility of these issues in the media. Talk about how major figures like Al Gore are coming out in support of environmental action, especially global warming. Describe the awful effects of global warming: melting ice caps, flooded cities, hurricanes, drought, etc. Predict that more and more countries (like the U.K.) will begin to make environmental protection a major international agenda. Urge people to learn more and get involved.

You can write it about the change in the environment over time. Include time periods where pollution peaked and also include what pollution is like in todays world.
You can also write about things that cause environmental harm. You can start out with the least harmful and go to the most harmful.

Write about why Bush is deliberately ignoring the advice of his top scientists on Global warming, and instead being advised on the environment by the writer Micheal Crichton.
There may even be a pulitzer in it for you!

don't sit down and try to write all the peices in order. come up with 1 issue about the environment like pollution or e.coli in the water orwetlands or whateverthen sit down and just write the first bunch of crap that comes to your head (about the subject you picked only). then you come up with a good sounding Conclusion, and organize your thoughts to support that conclusion.
polution is bad for many reasons... one reason is.... a second reason is blah and yet another is blah. for these reasons one can conclude that blah blah blah.

Look up on the net about how pesticides & herbicides are ruining our water.
Talk about the strict rules of neighborhood associations so that people are using excessive amounts of weed killer to avoid fines. End it with a questioning of how it will be for your children. Will they ever be able to play in a creek or swim in a lake.
