All PEOPLE have the right not to be TREATED as objects of any kind.
No one knows or cares what you think; rights begin when your thought becomes action.
BTW, you ARE treating Rosie as a sex object by your remark. Your remark assumes that she, as all other women, exist only for your sexual (visual) gratification.
Please make some attempt at acquiring a clue.

I have a right to think of myself as more than a sex object, because I am more than that. I am a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a student, a woman, a friend and many more things. Amoung all of those I am an educated person with an open mind who views all people without sterotyping. I don't look at men and say, "do men have a right to not be thought of as anything other than mechanics?"

Are you advocating the thought police? Only the PC deluded think you can control others thoughts, by changing language. Set as high of a principle as you want, I do not think that the right and the reality are ever going to be that close.

What do you think? Are there no women in your life that you respect? A mom, sister, aunt, a friend anyone? Come on, if you can not look past the skin then you will have a mean pretty girlfriend who will make your life worst then hell.
P.S. If that is the case, I could walk all over you and it you would never know it.

Women are always used as sex objects by our modern world especially in advertisements!!!! It really annoys me when there is an ad for something like a car or a shampoo and they have women wearing next to nothing in the ads when they have nothing to do with what is being sold. It's so degrading to all women!

A man should respect a woman for more than just her body! Some women do carry themselves as sex objects and therefore, men treat women the way that they carry themselves, in some cases. Every woman has the right to be treated as a woman just like every man has the right to their own opinion.

People have the right to think of anyone anyway that they wish.
I would just recommend that if you plan on treating women as a sex object, be prepared for a huge kick in the balls... literally

I feel quite sorry for anyone who only regards another person as a sex object. When you think of someone as an object you miss out on the wonderful or interesting person that they might be.

Nobody can control someone's thoughts. People have the right to THINK whatever they want. However, women have the right not to be TREATED as sex objects.

You have NO IDEA how many people find Rosie O'Donnell sexually an ideal person! Its all in the eye of the beholder, thank god. And, on principle, women as well as men should be able to expect to be appreciated for THEMSELVES. However, there will always be jerks who see them only as what they can get from them (they hope) and because of this fact, there will always be frustration because they are "not appreciated for themselves." But, so what, take the compliment, say, "no, thanks" and leave. 'nuff said.
