"What Dreams May Come" by Richard Matheson. I read it after seeing the movie. The book was so much better. It really went into great detail in this opinion/view of what Life is really about and what waits for us after we die. Its really impacted the way I live my life and what my true beliefs are. When my grandmother passed away, I bought copies of the book for family members who were having a tough time coping, and it lifted their spirits somewhat, or opened their minds at least. I highly recommend it!!!

Jodi Picoult writes books that are very moving and discuss many important topics that lots of people shy away from. My favourite is "My Sister's Keeper", the story of a girl who was born to keep her older sister who suffers from cancer alive. This story is so emotional and has so many plot twists and turns that I couldn't put it down. Bittersweet, made me cry for ages after the ending...
This story made me really think about family, life and whether one child's life should be valued more than another's.

THe Year Of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion. My mother had died suddenly without my being able to say good bye. The whole time I was reading this book I kept thinking 'Yes! This is how I feel, this is what I am wanting to say.' Joan Didion has articulated her grief, my grief, in such a beautiful heartfelt way.

Wild at Heart by John Eldredge. It's a look into the heart of man, as God created it and intended it to be. I feel like I understand my husband, brother, and father better after reading it, as well as myself. Now I've just started Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge. It is a look into the heart of woman as God intended it to be. So far, so good! I highly recommend them both!
