It was chocolate mousse (moose) made by Ruth Gordon, her witch neighbor, it made her dizzy and faint. She did not eat the whole thing and she still becomes intoxicated from it, but when the encounter with the devil happens, she is still sort of awake, but really out of it, and at first believes she dreampt it, but then realizes it is really happening. When she awakes, she does then think it is a dream again.

Chocolatte mousse. Because she didn't finish it, saying it had a chalky undertaste. Instead of going completely asleep, she dreams about her "gig" with the devil but it was really happening.

Minnie (the witchy neighbor woman who made the dessert) pronounced it 'chocolate mouse'.
