For 2007 the military was given a 2.2% pay raise. Whereas the average cost of living increase is 3%. Seems pretty unfair that we are deploying so many of our troops for over a year at a time and exposing them to extreme danger and then not rewarding them for being the small minority of our population who volunteers to protect the rest of us knowing full well of the possible danger.
