The Bears can beat the Colts. They may be the only team other than New England that can beat them this year. Manning is playing exceptional right now and he appears to be in complete control of an offense that can score against any team. However, when I think back to their playoff loss last year to the Steelers, a good pass rush beats Manning. He is extremely effective when he has time to pick apart the secondary. And lets don't forget the Colts run defense if terrible. This Colts team is very talented on offense, no doubt about it. The Bears are capable of outscoring the Colts and possibly sacking Manning enough to disrupt the offense. If the Colts make the SB, which I think is a very big if, it would be a nightmare for them to matchup with the Bears. I think the Bears had their awful game against the Cardinals, which they really should have lost. The Colts have the Pats next week I believe, so I'm expecting loss number one for the Colts right there. The Bears appear to be on a mission this year, and I think the Super Bowl is theirs.

I am not a fan of either team, so I am neutral....
The Bears are winning games in a dominant fashion. The Colts haven't been sharp, but still have been pulling games out. However, if both were to play on the field - I have more confidence in a Lovie Smith team than a Tony Dungy team. I think the Bears D could shut down Manning in company, but I think the Bears O could still get some points out of the Colts D.
I go with the Bears. Lovie's got them playing championship Football.

3 words... DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!! Bears stifling D shuts down Manning, what hope do the Colts have? Their D is porous at best, every team has been able to run consistently on them, and with Thomas Jones and Ced Benson, the Bears would too. Throw in Grossman who is a legitimate threat in the air and their offense against the Colts D is a more favorable matchup than the Colts strong O against the Bears suffocating D. Yes, I'm aware of Grossman's woes against the Cards, but Manning has had several bad games too, there's a reason he hasn't gotten them to the big game yet.

Da Bearz.
Here's what I am looking at: The Indy Colts are doing the same thing offensively, only right now, down 2.6 p.p.g from last yr's average at this time. They are playing just regular ball, and winning, obvioulsy, but closer games.
On the other hand, the Bears' points per game is off the charts, for Bears teams. In other words, they are playing way above their usual potential.
Lastly, look at the schedules of both: For the Colts, there are 3 possible hard games ahead, at the Patriots next week, at Dallas, Nov. 19, and the Jaguars at home, Dec. 10th.
Colts go 14 and 2 this year.
The Bears only face TWO tough challenges from here on: at the Giants, Nov. 12, and at the Patriots, two weeks later.
Bears go 14 and 2, at worst. and At best, 15-1.
Da Bearz.

As much as I would like to say the Bears - its all going to be academic after the Patriots beat the Colts this weekend and beat the Bears at the end of the month. Expect things to return to normal again this year with another Patriots victory in the Superbowl this year.
Btw - the Bears aren't even the best team in the NFC - that will eventually go to the Giants.

Bears all the way baby!!!!!
The reason i think it is the bears. Well let look at what happens to the colt when u make manning move out of the pocket and threw on the run, All the teams he has faced with good d-fences he has lost to. Denver has a good defense but did not make him move out of the pocket. i do not believe the could use their defense to carry them to a win if manning went down.

Colts! The Bears almost lost to the lowly Vikings if it weren't for a last minute fumble by Chester Taylor. You just can't stop Peyton Manning. He's probably a top five QB of all time (not including his post season blunders).

This question has been asked dozens of times.
I still go with the Bears, but it is close. If the Colts played better defense I would pick them.
Who said Bears have a better record? They have the same record, 7-0.

before anyone jumps to conclusions how about you look at what they have done...
Week 1 - 26-0 over Green Bay - Good job shutting out a mediocre team.
Week 2 - 34-7 over Detroit - You scored a lot against a 1-6 team....great!
Week 3 - 19-16 over Minnesota - good job pulling off that win. Although NE is beating them 24-7 right now....don't you play NE in a coupl weeks?? I think so!! Watch out!!
Week 4 - 37-6 over Seattle - There's a credible game! Great job!
Week 5 - 40-7 over Buffalo - Another good win against a sucky team!
Week 6 - 24-23 over Arizona - No credit deserved....you really can't disagree with me much there!
Week 7 - BYE - Much needed after that MNF game!
Week 8 - 41-10 over San Francisco - Good job, but what happened the 2nd half???
Now, for those of you who didn't get this...it was SARCASM
