I am having my monthly cycle at this time and I am experiencing severe abdominal pain along with cold sweats, extreme nrevousness, and nausea. This comes and goes. I had three "spells" yesterday and one today. Is this okay?

If you are using tampons it could be TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) Take the tampon out and go to the Dr. Now!!! Search the web for TSS

This is definitely NOT okay. Set up an appointment with an OB/GYN asap. Their solution could be something as simple as requiring birth control pills to regulate your period and help the cramping, or you may require a pelvic exam/pap smear just to verify that everything is okay. Those sound like pretty severe symptoms. It is probably not abnormal but you shouldn't have to go through this every month. Birth control pills can help reduce the severity of menstral issues (like cramps, etc.) you could try it, see if it helps your symptoms.

It sounds like you are having panic attacks. What else was going on when these "spells" occured? Tell you doctor about the answer. This is not normal.

Go to your doctor tomorrow! If the pain becomes unbearable and/or you get a fever, go to the ER or Urgent care.

I have come to find out that Midol really helps with the symptoms. Try it. I hope it works for you.

It might be that you have just gotten a flu bug or something at the same time as your period.....which SUPER sucks!!!! If you are worried though, call your doc. Good luck!!!!
