Curiously enough, only to my new puppy. It seems every time I buy something luxurious for me, he wants one too! I kid you NOT. So lately I've learned to buy REALLY expensive stuff (and not necessarily luxurious), that way I can tell him: Look buddy, this is way too darn expensive for me to buy one for you too! ... And you know what's really funny? Somehow, he seems to understand the hopelessness in the concept of "REALLY expensive", cause he stops nagging immediately. ... Still, he blackmails me into buying him the most expensive Puppy Chow on the market and demands a few drops of virgin olive oil on top too (great for a shinny coat). That's HIS luxury of late, and he doesn't feel the urge to justify it to anyone either - myself included. :-)

Sometimes I feel like I should be donating money to charity instead of buying new clothes or something - but I just got a new job that pays pretty well and I was really broke beforehand so I'm indulging for a little while - while I still can, before I have kids and my own house etc. I have decided to sponsor a third world child though which I'll start after Christmas. I feel that would make more of a difference than donating a bit of money to some random charity.

Not to myself. But somethings and sometimes the amounts things cost you don't reveal to certain people.

I wouldn't tell a friend who didn't have much money that I just bought a $750- Fendi handbag, for instance.
