I don't think I EVER heard anyone say those "...of..." expressions. I must hang with the wrong people.

It is a queation of ignorance.
It is a breakdown of Queen's English.
So many people were not corrected in slovenly speech in the past that now there are fewer and fewer people who know the correct way to speak.
When I was at school we had elocution lessons and if we used bad grammar or poor pronunciation we were corrected by our parents as well as our teachers.

Damn just realised I do that. Thought I'd got rid of my "of" demon. It has always been my downfall. More so when writing. I'd always write "would of" instead of "would have" because when I speak I say "would've". Think its how everyone in my crap north London school spoke. I'm a bit more conscious of it now though but it is like a bad habit that is hard to get out of.

It all goes back to their education - teachers don't correct the student's work anymore. A lot of people write in the way they speak.

i would assume that fed up of or bored of would be in regards to something / something someone is doing. and that fed up with or bored with would generally mean someone - ? then again i guess its just the way you phrase it - or of being one issue - and with being as a whole -

It's just lazy speak it means the same thing. It's lack of correct grammar and we have to face it as it the way it's going i'm afraid!!
