no i dont give candy during halloween and no it's not rude not to participate in halloween

I do give out candy...I love halloween, but since I'm pagan, this is a major holiday for me. I do not think it's rude if folks don't want to participate. It's all a matter of preference, really. I hope people don't think I'm rude for not participating in Christmas....I celebrate another holiday right around the same time, but I don't call it christmas.

We always pass out candy every year! I love Halloween! Just the fact that you can go door to door and get candy! Its awesome! When I have kids I am definately going to take them trick or treating. Well if its against your religion to celebrate Halloween then its not rude to not participate but if you just dont wanna do it because you are too lazy to buy candy and pass it out then its rude!!

I have candy for them. We've only lived here since May, so I don't know if anyone here actually comes around, but I'm ready...big bucket of candy, long dark robe, faceless mask (hood with empty face area) and skeleton gloves. I miss my friend whose birthday is today. Too far away to go and celebrate!
I don't think it's rude not to, it's a matter of choice. Porch light on means welcome, if the light's not on, they know not to go there.

From one bone to another: no, I don't think it's rude. But I'm doing it anyway, right now I'm handing out candy to the little kids. It's fun and... nostalgic in a way.

I like Halloween....it's my favorite holiday. We're sitting here now, passing out candy (Tootsie Pops) to the little Urchins.

Yes, I am giving out candy now, but it sucks that I am the only one on the block doing it, so I am not going to get that many trick or treaters.
