i believe that individuals can do as they please so long as they dont harm others. i also think big buisness inherantly serves its own needs and that individual citizens with much less power than corporations need a measure of protection from being exploited by buisness. am i the only person in the uk who thinks this way in a world of free market economics and paranoia of individuals with radical ideas?

Well I'm libertarian capitalist, so we may agree on somethings, but not on economics. But I bet we do agree that Blair/New Labour is robbing us of freedom on an almost daily basis.

Of course business serves its own needs. Its business. Its goal is to make money. There is nothing wrong with that. As a libertarian you should view corporations the same way you do individuals. They should be allowed to do as they please so long as they don't harm anyone's life or property by force of fraud.
Businesses, like individuals need to be held accountable for their actions. The problem most people have with big business is the protection and favors it gets from government. As a result, people blame capitalism when they should be blaming corporatisms unholy marriage of business and goverment. The state should leave people and business along, neither helping nor hindering.

How about a Communo anarchist..?

As for a free market...Lol, contradiction in terms... the theory behind it sounds nice but in practice it constricts and creates a class of capital/power holders, thus forcing those without it into servitude......Free market is a lie. Viva la revolucion!!!!

i do agree with you to a certain extent
but some things you do may not appear bad to you but others may think so so there is a need for external control from outside your own enviroment to stop this happening
i do agree that corporations are taking away our freedom to choose and are manipulating us and exploiting us

You must be - a libertarian socialist is a contradiction in terms as far as I can see from the Labour party.
