People find the need to answer these questions with the unsumption that they're correct, with/without doing research. Which, by all means, is fine. However, why do some people find the need to assume some questions are either so stupid or outrages, that they find it there "duty" to answer them in a negative way???

I think they do it because (answer after q&a)

Because some of them are stupid and outrageous. I don't think people answer them negatively as a "duty" but rather
1. The question sounds like it was asked by a 3 year old
2. The question sounds like it was asked by a pervert or skank
3. The question is one that is asked over and over a zillion times a day (without any additional detail given to premote any kind of other answer) IE- Do they like me?.... Am I pregnant?

Does that help answer your question? (Even tho it appears you already have an asnwer in your mind?)

OK. I'm busted. Today I am guilty. Most of the time I like to give my answers lots of thought or check my facts. Today I have been going with the wacko theme. I try not to be negative. Pass up a lot of questions when I feel that's the only way to answer. Maybe I should just sign out on days I feel this way. Sorry everyone.

I agree with your point. There is no such thing as a stupid question, since someone else may have the same question. By putting down a person due to the integrity of the question, you lower their self-esteem. I wish people can just respect each other and help one another in order to improve our society. But as a wishful thinker, we must realize that this will never happen.

If your issue is with the "research" of the answer...then you should not ask the question. You should do the research yourself and come up with your OWN answer. This isn't a forum of experts, it's just people offering their (not there) opinon. There are going to be jokers everywhere you go, so you should not take q&a on the internet so seriously. have fun

i think that part of the reason this forum was invented was to hear the persons answer to a question. NOT what i would find out if i read an encyclopidia. people get upset and angry. that is human nature. this topic especially gets peoples blood racing and tends to question everything about the person..not just what they think about laundry soap. So of coarse people will get upset, people will be rude. that is human natural after all

in my own opinion -im sincere in answering question and sharing ideas to yahoo. i became interested in yahoo Q&A portions when i needed someones opinion regarding my health condition, tho' i had a doctor, im still searching and im amazed of the response i received from the yahoo users. from then on, in return im sharing and answering with sincerity the posted question. i did some research and im more on dream interpretaion, thats my specialization. i did my best to the outmost not only to share but also to help. i knew some questions are weird, some are non sense (apology), some are for curiosity, but most of them are truly need the opinions from other, and thats count most. the importance of being choosen best answer is an honor to me and satisfaction, that i shared the best of me.

Some people know the info that you are asking and if they dont then they definitely should be doing research or not answering the question if it is legitimate.

That's a good question. I think people just want to let you know whats on their mind whether they find a question silly or not....its funny how people react sometimes...lol... I never take anything they say personally!

Do I detect a little negativity in your question? " I don't know why I'm even asking? " The answer is in the question.

What's an unsumption? I've heard of an assumption...

Oh wait, that might be construed as negative.
