Too early to bother so much. I really wonder some one getting disqualified at this young age. Sainik school is not a precondition for any job. Let him finish his schooling and train him as a good sportsman. Physical fitness is important for a pilot. Good luck.

Why so much inclination for the Services
or the Merchant Navy? Do you want that he should
be away from the parental love and effection?
Sainik School and other similar institutes
are preferred by Service personnel only.
When such people retire from jobs, they
find themselves lost in the crowd and
no one cares for them, for their background.
They develop one track mind, i.e., to make
money from salary and subordination.
Since your son is around 10 years, please plan
a decent career for him in Music/Food/Acting
etc. There are ample scope for these.
The entire country will recognise him
and love him. He can live a decent life
with his parents. The emotions can
grow to make him a wonderful human
being. If in Defence or similar field,
he would remain unrecognised. Today,
at the age of TV, your knowledge level
must have been increased. Please plan some
other career for him. A uniform may give
you some satisfaction, but not to him.
Please donot restrict his opportunities.
Being a Scorpion, he must be handled
with care in his initial years, to make an
excellent caring son for the parents.
Do not send him away with your ideas.
Talk to non- service, (defence) successful
persons in the society and you can find
out yourself.
We were of the similar opinion as yours as
my father in law was a service personnel.
But subsequently, it was found out or
discovered, that they were nothing as
compared to other contemporaries. They
earn a good pension and have access to
Ration and Cheap liquer only.
I decided to have music for him as a hobby,
at the age of four. Now he is 13 and he has
termed as a Master Pianist, by the Times
of India. He is perhaps the fastest Pianist
today, after Adnan Sami. He passed
Grade 1 from Royal School of Music, London
at the age of 9. He has performed at
many great venues like Siri Fort, Chinmoy,
Air Force School, Vivekananda Auditorium at
Kolkata.
All the music lovers know him in North India
and Kolkata. I think, that he has scope for
his future and stays with us and we know his
emotions very well.
Please forget Services. Incidentally, he studies
in Air Force School, where the IQ levels are
quite heartening, because of One Track Mind.
For him you may approach any Councellor
( career) for a guidance.

Keep him under your wings. He would need a lot of love and affection before he flies.
