Influence depends on how strong you are. Peer pressure is a weak excuse and yet strengthens our being once we learn by making the mistakes along the way of growing up. The influence we put on others is a matter of your own conscience. It is a reasonable choice to do the right thing.

We are under it. We cannot avoid it. It controls US. Man is a machine, reacting as an automaton. Influence controls us, although we 'think' we have free choice.

In the admission that one is 'influenced', one already gains some objectivity.
