Well, George Washington fought for the British(his mother country) in the French Indian War and...well, we all know what happened next. Good thing the British lost the American Revolutionary War or he and many other heroes of ours would have been charged with treason! History looks different looking back sometimes...

Was George Washington a patriot? Treasonous? Or just a contradiction?

Yes it is - if you served you were willing to defend the Constitution, the President and this country.

Isn't always pleasant but that's the breaks.

I still live by the phrase " I may not agree with what you say but I will die defending your right to say it." God bless and take care.

probably.

after all, you must have served the govt by fighting in iraq, so you are being hypocritical.

nevertheless, i hate terrorists and the US administration too. just that i wouldn't let lying politicians send me off to a foreign land for big corporations' profits to kill people who only become "terrorists" because they are occupied by a foreign power.

in their place, wouldn't you kill an occupying soldier if you could?
