President Gore apologizes to Taliban.
9/11/2001
New York Times
President Al Gore today released a statement of apology to the worldwide Muslim community. "We deeply regret that the United States so offended the Taliban and Muslims in general that 16 devout believers were forced to sacrifice their lives by crashing aircraft in our country earlier today." The President went on to say, "the passengers and crew of the aircraft were privileged to be allowed to participate in the valiant protest against American imperial policies. [The capitalists in the world trade center] deserved what they got."
Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh saw Bill Clinton's fingerprints all over the Gore administration's admission of guilt: "Clinton sent Cruise missiles into bin Laden's training camps after the embassy attacks and bombed another Muslim country, the Sudan, to deflect attention from his sexually immoral behavior. No wonder that towel-head is angry at us."
The fascist Republican minority responded in their typical war-like manner. "It's just like liberals to use our current national crisis as a means of trying to force through their anti-gun, big-government agenda, when our troops should be engaged abroad," said former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. "It's unpatriotic and violates the need for bipartisanship during this wartime crisis. Besides, if the bin Laden forces invade, we're going to need all the machine guns and explosives ordinary citizens can amass."

okay, don't know how scary this is but it's really cool....
a few years back my grandmother died after a battle with ovarian cancer, it was a sad moment but a cool story arose from it. She lived a few houses away from a doctor's clinic. The doctor and nurses their knew her very well and took good care of her. One nurse in particular would often engage in harmless banter with my grandmother in the quest to make her laugh because she loved her laugh. My grandmother would warn her to be careful because she'll die one day and she'll come back and haunt her. They would burst out laughing.
Now, my grandmother suffered from ovarian cancer for 2 yrs and for those 2 yrs before she died she lived with my aunt. One day, that very nurse was driving around the street to look for parking. She went into the office and told the other nurses that Mrs. Matthews* must be feeling better because she had obviously returned home and was outside in the front yard picking limes from the tree. My grandmother had a lime tree right in front of the house. A few minutes later, the doctor walked in and announced that he had bad news. He said that Mrs. Matthews had passed away last night. The nurse was shocked and so were the other nurses. The nurse was like "NO! that can't be true! I just saw her outside picking limes from the tree like she used to do! I even told the nurses about it!" The doctor explained that she must have seen someone else in the yard. The nurse insisted it was her because she even waved to her!!!
I went to my grandmother's house that night and investigated the situation of the tree. Now, let me explain something. This tree was ALWAYS full of limes...limes everywhere, in the tree on the floor. So many that my grandmother would pick them up and put them in plastic grocery bags and sell them. This tree was NEVER out of lemons. After my grandmother got sick, my mother continued with the lime picking and selling. But when I went that night there was absolutely no limes in the tree or on the ground, not a single lime, not even in the hard to reach places (the lime had thorny branches and some areas you couldn't get to). And that tree didn't start growing limes until like 2 or 3 years ago. My grandmother died 8 yrs ago.
Needless to say the nurse was extremely spooked! I even think she transfered to another office but I can't be too sure. But I do know she was spooked enough because she thought my grandmother would make good on her word since she did see her the day after she had passed away.

I spent the night at a Bed and Breakfast once and it had a reputation for having a ghost in it. Her name was Emiline and she was a very protective, jealous woman. I guess she lived there at one time. I went to bed that night exhausted (I had been hiking all day) and fell asleep quickly, without giving the Emiline story much thought. At some point during the night my eyes flew open. Something woke me up. I went to sit up, but couldn't. I couldn't move. The blankets were up off me, kind of hovering above my body. I was too terrified to scream, but I was also paralyzed. My heart was so loud in my ears and I was sure I was going to die of fright right there. I was so afraid that I was gasping for air and then, just as quickly as I awoke, I must have fallen asleep again, or fainted. My dreams were horrible that night, and the next thing I knew it was morning. I got out of that room as fast as I could and during breakfast in the dining room I could only tremble as I heard guests discussing a story about a woman who was tied to her bed and murdered in that awful house.
